The selection of the sealing gasket of the plate heat exchanger has an important impact on the service life of the heat exchanger. If the gasket is hard bottomed or has lost its ductility, it is likely that the equipment will not operate normally or leak. As the sealing rubber gasket not only seals the medium, but also prevents the leakage of the medium in the external natural environment, and also needs to avoid the phenomenon of mixing between them, the sealing gasket of the plate heat exchanger is considered to be an important part of the heat exchange equipment. When selecting, you need to look at the following points:

1. Expansion: The raw material of the sealing gasket of the plate heat exchanger is plastic, which can be restored after the extrusion deformation subsides. In other words, the volume of the gasket will not change during the whole shrinkage process, expressed by the change of pressure.

  2. Compressive strength: it shall have sufficient compressive strength to enter the extrusion pressure of the sealed state and the medium bearing high fluid.

  3. Ductility: It can not only meet the specified applied compressive strength, but also has ductility, so that the sealing gasket can closely fit the plate under sufficient working pressure to achieve sealing performance. 4. Anti-permeability: that is, the performance of anti-media, which can resist the penetration of different media.

  5. Temperature resistance: understand the temperature zone of the sealing gasket when purchasing, and select the sealing gasket with suitable temperature adjustment according to its application temperature or working conditions, so as not to affect its service life.

  One thing is the service life: the service life is of great concern to everyone, which is related to the raw materials of the sealing gasket of the plate heat exchanger and the whole application process. In the whole application process, the function of the sealing gasket of the plate heat exchanger will be reduced if the raw material changes inside. When the density is less than the actual operating pressure of the heat exchanger, it is difficult to avoid leakage.

  The plate heat exchanger is mainly made of thin plates made of various materials, which are pressed into different shapes by various types of abrasive tools. Corner holes are opened at the four corners of the plate as the flow channel of the medium. The rack is composed of fixed pressing plate, movable pressing plate, upper and lower guide rods, clamping bolts, etc.

  The sealing gasket materials of plate heat exchanger include nitrile, EPDM, hydrogenated nitrile, fluorine, neoprene, butyl rubber and silicone, etc. The development of these high-performance rubber materials usually comes from close cooperation with customers to ensure that the technical performance meets the market demand. The temperature resistance range is - 40 to 180. Typical applications include food industry and heavy industry (strong acid and alkali).

  According to the analysis, the length of the sealing perimeter is 6~8 times of the heat exchange area (for example, the expansion length of the sealing gasket is about 4 meters for a single-plate heat exchanger with an area of 0.5 square meters). The thin sheet is very thin and has poor rigidity. It can only be used as a gasket with elastic material, and the temperature it can bear is not high. The sealing gasket of the plate heat exchanger shall have the compression capacity of the certified seal, and the compression capacity shall ensure that the groove is not deformed.
